Where this checklist comes from
It draws on official sources (the ISO 216 paper-size standard, the IMRaD structure, conference guidelines such as the CMGF) and on practices recommended by leading universities (Yale, Cornell, Illinois, among others). Points that are not an official standard are given as recommendations, not rules: always adapt them to your own conference guidelines.
